"Yeah, that's a good idea," Shane complimented. "And nothing...just wishful thinking," he added, letting himself give a little half smile. "If they think it is, they'll be all the happier when you come home," he said, and he told himself that no matter what, she would come home: with him or without him. He was not going to let her die on this trip.

She wanted to go on dreaming that. "They're gonna be all the happier when I come home, with a guy. They have always been concerned that I live alone, and that I don't date much." She was emmbrassed by that, and let out, "I think they want grandchildren." But, totally went red. She wanted to hide behind the couch. "Not that, that means anything at all. Nothing, just forget that last sentance. Never said anything!" she dropped her bag, and pretended to zip her mouth shut.

Shane laughed and said, "Well, at least you have parents that will be happy for you." He said it lightly, as if it weren't important to him, but there was a slight edge in his voice that said otherwise. He looked down, telling himself to just move on all ready and focus on what he was about to do. "OK, so whenever you're ready, we can go," he said simply, heading toward the door.

She furrowed her flaming red forhead. What was the matter? She head for the door, grabbing his hand in one hand, and her bag in the other. "Hey, you okay?" She asked, ready for the reality check to really sink in. It still hadn't for her. She couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that she was going half way around the world. She had never even been to America, much less Texas. "hey, maybe we will see a Shoot 'Em Up or something Texas!" She said hopfully.

"I doubt it...that's a little old fashioned, isn't it?" Shane asked. "And nothing. I'm fine. Just wanna go," he said, trying not to sound rude. But the idea of sounding impatient was much better than the idea of telling her (or anyone) about his life before assassin work. He had always just glossed over that history in everything he did...covered it up with some kind of clique or another. Bully, assassin, whatever it was.

"Hmmmm, well whatever." She said, leading him towards the door. After going through the door, and locking it, she looked back at the house. It was smaller looking. She shrugged. "So, where are we going exactly? Because I don't know anywhere in Texas really. So, you get to apperate us." She smiled, thinking about tumbleweeds, and desserts with horses and cows and big accents.

"Well...OK..." Shane said nervously, trying to focus. All right...no pressure...but if you mess up, you'll probably end up in an ocean. He shuddered and took out his wand. "Ready?" Shane asked, picking up a suitcase from by one of her bushes where he had left it. He hook his arm though hers and began to concentrate on Apperating, waiting for her response.

She closed her eyes, then opened one to look at him. "What?" She asked, looking at him with one eye, while he was staring at her. She double checked her stuff in her mind. Suitcase: check. Myself: check. Money: Check. Him/his stuff: check. I'm good. She winked at him, and let the anticipation of the feeling of being sucked through a tube set in. It was like getting ready to ride the biggest rollarcoaster, everytime.
//I hate that feeling. >.< Even though I've ridden a ride like 1000 times, I still get that feeling!!!//

Shane nodded a took a deep breath. OK, here goes. He focused on Texas as if he were pinpointing a place on a map and then zooming in so it was as if he was all ready there. Suddenly the familiar sensations set in. He felt like he were being yanked through a tube too small to fit through. He held onto his suitcase with one hand while he held his wand and Bellatrix with the other, hoping she didn't let go of his elbow. After what seemed like forever, they came to a halt on a deserted alley. "Phew," Shane said, inhaling and realizing that he had been holding his breath.

"Where exactly are we?" She asked, still holding onto his elbow. "This is Texas?" She sounded kind of let down. "I expected more. Like, horses. Where are the horses?" She asked, looking at him, like he was hiding the horses from him. "I have already started the list of things to do while hiding here! Would you like to hear the list?" She asked, not giving him much of a choice.

//Nah...this is fine.//
"Well...that was more like old Texas. New Texas is actually modern..." Shane trailed off, trying not to sound too disappointing. "But, they probably have something that's kind of old-fashioned...maybe there's some sort of tourist attraction thing," he added, failing to sound as hopeful as he wanted to.
((And, because I'm bored and need something to happen...))
There was suddenly a crack as someone appeared next to them. It was a witch about the same age as Shane, maybe a little older. Shane raised his wand and pointed it at her immediately, and she did the same. There was a sudden moment of realization when the witch recognized Shane and said, "Shane?" Both lowered their wands. "What are you doing here?" she added, confused.

Bella raised her eyebrows. "Who is this?" She asked, resisting the urge to point. The witch had just popped out of no where. Really, no where. "I'm Bellatrix Knight." She said, sticking out her hand to the new comer. She wondered why she had that strange reaction to Shane....

The new arrival simply nodded to Bellatrix to acknowledge her presence. She had never been the kind to shake hands. It allowed someone to have hold of your arm, and that could mean death. "What are you doing here?" she asked Shane again.
"Um...on a mission," Shane lied after a second's hesitation. "She's one of our bargaining chips," he added, sending Bellatrix an apologetic glance. He couldn't risk this person knowing too much.
"Who is she?" the witch asked, unconvinced. She tapped her foot and her wand arm twitched.
"Jane Smith," he said immediately, having anticipated the question and purposefully telling her the name instead of why she was 'important'.
The witch nodded slowly and said, "OK...nice name." It had a touch of sarcasm, as she was pretty sure it was fake. Jane Smith? That's about as common as something can get.

Bella got the vibe she was someone important, and dangerous. "Okay, we were useing a fake name, but I told him to. My real name is Charlie Coach." She said, not knowing if that was right or not, but hoped the little improve was correct. "I assume you guys are just passing by, but work together. Now, if you don't mind, I would like to be returned home, so can we get on with what we were doing?" She asked, tapping her foot. It wasn't a lie. They were working on a goal to go home. She thought of this as her first chance to show she could deal with the murders, and not have to hide behind Shane,

The witch still looked suspicious, but seemed satisfied momentarily with the answer. "OK. So who are you? What makes you important enough for her to want you?" It was clearly understood who the her was. It seemed that either no one actually knew the boss' name, or it was just bad luck. Or maybe she had learned something from Voldemort and made her name Taboo, so she knew who said it and where they were.
Shane gave Bella a small smile while the other witch was distracted. "This is one of my...co-workers," he said, making sure to get the point across.

"I don't know. I'm not exactly top in the chain. I don't get information from this mofia. I don't think I am important. I think I'm just some regular stay at home mom, who just doesn't really have a kid. Stay at home wife." She said, sounding arrogant like a trophy wife. That's what she was aiming for anyway. Arrogan/Trophy wife. She didn't really look the part though. She was wearing some jeans, and a long sleeve shirt. "I was just about to go pay the man who mows our lawn, and this," she waved her arm in Shane's direction, "person comes and grabs me, apperating us to...Where are we?!" She thought she was sounding more plausable....

"Texas, Miss Coach," Shane said, catching on quickly. He sent Alexa a glance out of the corner of his eye to see if she was going to buy it.
The witch raised her eyebrow. "Uh-huh..." she said suspiciously. It seemed like this Coach girl changed her personality every other minute. She was going to find out what the two of them were hiding. She wasn't stupid; she knew when Shane was hiding something. Ex-girlfriends had that talent.

Bella sneaked a glance at Shane. Was this lady really buying it? She didn't think so by the eyebrow raise. Well, okay she wasn't playing Trohpy Wife very well. "Wait. I'm pregant, and I think I'm going to hurl. Either that, or the heartburn radiation is hitting my stomach. Where is a bathroom?" She started to hold her mouth. Faking a pregancy might scare her away. She must LEAVE! She could make herself hurl on her.....she grabbed her wand while pretending to be warping her arms around herself, like she was sick, and tapped her stomach. She automatically started to feel it coming up. Quickly putting her wand away, she hurled on Alexa.

Alexa was about to roll her eyes when the girl threw up on her. She gasped and put her hands up defensively, turning her head away. After a few moments, she let out a small yell of disgust. "Thanks! Thanks a lot, I've always dreamed of becoming the puke receiver of my ex-boyfriend's victim," she said sarcastically, shuddering and taking out her own wand to clean up the...stuff. After a second, still somewhat wet, Alexa said, "Whatever, I'll see you around. Maybe," and Disapperated.
Shane wince at the word 'boyfriend'. That had not exactly been his favorite relationship. Long, painful story...

She wiped her mouth. "Yeah, also knowing that she was one of your ex girlfriends might have been nice, preferably BEOFER I throw up trying to save our asres. Now that I think of it, I think that the throwing up was too much, but you could have helped by chaining me or something." She threw her arms about almost yelling those things.

Shane sighed and mumbled something under his breath. "Whatever, she's gone...for now." He glanced around, making sure that no one else was anywhere near them. "And I rarely chain up my...guarded people," he phrased carefully, avoiding the word 'victims'. "So she would have been even more suspicious if I suddenly started doing that."

"Yeah, because stopping someone from escaping their ultamate doom is probably isn't very nice. I mean, they should be free there last minutes of life." She was totally sarcastic. She did think she was being a little mean. "I shouldn't be like this everytime someone shows up. Just, lets get a plan. I can't be the same person everytime. I need to get a man costume so someone doesn't get suspious on why you always get women to kill, and not men."

Shane frowned. "What?" he asked, dumbfounded. "No, when it comes to my job, no one cares if the vi--person is male or female. It makes no difference. So there's no need for you to suddenly become a guy, cause Alexa will notice that if she sees you, and then we're worse than we started," he said simply.
"OK...where should we go? We could stay here and risk being found, or go somewhere else."

"We need to go somewhere muggle, so that we can't be found easily." She said, looking around. This was Austin, Texas, because there was a big capital building. "Okay, so, probably not any big cities. Wizards are usually found there....I never really thought if there were American witches and wizards...I just thought about European wizards and witches. Where do they go to school?"
