Dear Kathleen Marvin,
He had written the letter in unfamiliar script. Due to the fact that Orlando's hand was so much larger.
I wish to speak to you on this date, Please. He had added, for effect of course.
And do not bring him.. My broom may have room for two, but your's does not.
Love Anonymous
So now he sat. His unfamiliar tan hands sat in front of him, tearing apart his napkin. He wondered how she would think of all this, or if she'd even remember him when he was seeing through the eyes of another. Did he know about Daisy and her Grim Reaperdom? Probably not. Daisy said she hadn't dared talk to her mum about anything.. She also added she hadn't even attempted to see her mum.. And his son, Chris, hadn't told. He was sure. Because Daisy hadn't said anything.. And Daisy had the amazing knack to know whenever someone said something remotly close to being about herself. Maybe it was the reaperness...
And so he sat. Awaiting his once true and only love. He had been trying to find another. Speed dating, going to bars.. but there was no use. He just hadn't found anyone. And Kat wouldn't approve of him taking the body of another man. She'd find it unethical and rude to be intruding.
She was always brilliant.

Kathleen Marvin-Browning-Edwards was shaking...literally shaking like a leaf. The letter she had recived had scarred her truthfully and she was extreamly nervous about this meeting. She hadn't recognized the handwritting and the comment at the end had been the part that had gotten her heart racing in a nervous....and slightly excited way. Alex had always told her that his broom would have room for 2....but her nerves had grown again as she remembered Alex was dead and no one else was supose to know about that saying except Chris and Daisy. And unforchunetly Daisy had joined her father and Kathleen had checked with Chris and he hadn't written the letter either and had no idea who would. Her use to be vibrantly scarlet hair had darked over the years to a rich auborn color and a few grey hairs could be spotted but at her age after having two children like hers she was entitled to them. She wore a white flowy skirt that went just past her knees, an emerald green top that rested just off her shoulders. She wore a silver chain with a silver heart in the center that read 'Greatest Grandma' a gift from her 3 wonderful grandchildren. Her silver diamond wedding band was on it's usual finger and she wore a pair of black flat sandles. She took a deep breath before she opened the door to the restraunt and walked in looking for someone who would be looking for her. She reached up out of nerves and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear revealing a pair of emerald stud earings a gift from Shawn only a few days ago. She had decided to leave her hair down tonight, curling only a few strands just to give it some body. She let out a small sigh as she looked around the place for a fimilar face...though there was none to be found and she hoped this wasn't someone's idea of a rude practical joke.

He began to stand up to go to the restroom. That's when he saw her and he froze. That was his Kathleen. The one who had always let him call her that. Not 'Kat' like the rest of the world. Even though it was shorter, he had always disliked nicknames. In fact, he dispised his own, Alex. He called himself Alexander when he could. She was just as beautiful as she was that moonlite night, Just as perfect then as now. Even though he could tell that she was aging, and that she still wore her wedding band.. Though not his. He twisted his, which he had stolen from Kathleen's home when Daisy had brought him back. It was pure gold, his and Kat's name inscribed. He ran one hand through his short coarse hair and waved to her with his left hand. His ring began to sparkle in the light. " Kathleen!" He hoped she wouldn't find him sick for using his old voice. He was able to copy it in times of great need, this was one time.

Kathleen froze as she saw the man and heard the voice. She turned her head away her breaths comming in shorter and faster now as her pulse began to rush and she desperatly tried to psuh back the tears that threatened to come to her eyes. "It can't be....it can't be..." she whispered to herself as she willed herself to be stronger, "Alexander is dead Kathleen...this is just....someone who sounds a hell of a lot like him. Alexander has been dead for years and just because this letter has you freaked out of your mind doesn't mean let your guard down." She whispered to herself as she forced the tears back, not letting even one escape her eyes as she looked back up and made her way over to the strange man. Her eyes held their feirce and determinded look though her hands were still shaking slightly from nerves, but she could always say she hadn't eaten lunch. She did notice a wedding band on his finger and let out a small sigh of relief....at least it wasn't someone trying to hook up with her. "Hello." She said politley, her voice calm and kind as she gave a small smile, "Excuse me....but I don't mean to sound rude...but who are you and how do you know me?" She asked.

He racked his brain to find a way to tell her without her thinking he was a stalker freak. He couldn't start up with random facts about her. That would, yet again, seem stalkerish.
"Don't be worry about being rude, if anything I was by asking you to come here. But I thought we had something to settle. A tiny situation that has come by without you knowing... And I'm truthfully sick and tired of her not telling you anything anymore. Because hey, you are her mum. She should have told you ten years ago." He decided to open up about Daisy. Perhaps that might help. (I DO realise this is VERY stupid, but Alexander Chance Browning doesn't. Well.. He's more like Orlando now.) "My name is A... I mean, Orlando Brown. And Like said before, I'm here to ask you a few questions and maybe tell you something that will sound utterly and totally insane. But, whether you believe it or not, I'll; feel better because atleast you'll have heard it from someone, anyone."

"Who is her?" Kathleen asked, "And it is nice to meet you Mr. Brown, you seem to know me yet I have never met you. And while I'm willing you awnser a few questions I guess, I must know how you know of me....and I know not of you." Kathleen said calmly and poliltly.

"Her is my.. Well, kinda like a daughter. Well, in a way she is. But I'm talking about Daisy." He knew he didbn't have to meantion a last name. "Daisy Adair Browning." But he did, to be sure. "She hasn't said a bloody word to you about any of this.. It's kinda overwhelming. I mean, there's tons that normal muggles.. Or even most witches and wizards, don't know about Death. So I guess I have to explain some things. For example, one. Your daughter is not dead.. But she's not quite alive either. I could call her on her cell phone right now and she'd transport here in about eighteen minutes." He was being way too blunt and needed to edge more into it.

Kat gave him a concerned look, "I'm sorry to tell you sir....but my daughter has been dead for many years now. So you must have your information mistaken. I can tell you where the grave is located if you want. " She said gently, "But are you sure you are alright? Have you been hurt lately....or do you need to go to St. Mungo's? My husband is a healer there...and I'm sure he'd be more then willing to see you." She added gently and calmly.

"I'm not hurt, Kathleen." He looked at her, then at the windows. "There's a lot of things that a lot of folks have no idea about. One of these things is Death. Daisy Adair Browning is now known as Daisy Adair. She lives in L.A and is dating one of the Daily Prophet Reporters. If you wish, I could call and you ca=ould have a grand chat as to why she hasn't told you anything within the last ten or so years. I should call her anyways. She could be here soon enough to confirm what I will tell you later. Please, Kathleen. I know you were a Ravenclaw, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't believe a Badger."

Kathleen shook her head, "I'm sorry...I don't remember you from Hogwarts but then again I was only there for a year. My daughter has been dead for 10 years Mr. Brown. I put her right next to my husband...I'm sorry...I just can't deal with this." She said. Her voice was shakey and tears pooled in her eyes, "It was very nice to meet you Mr. Brown but what you are saying is impossible even with magic." She said before she turned to leave and slowly began walking away.
//Stop her somehow.//

He thought of something quickly. And a few remarks he said that, he was sure, would stop her ." Your Ex-Husband isn't dead either. Atleast he was, until about a month or two ago. Daisy is quite the witch now.. Even though she's not quite breathing." He brought the phone up and began dialing. He whispered a few words and then held the phone out to Kathleen.
"It's for you."

Kathleen froze her entire body going into shock for a few seconds trying to process the words that were comming out of his mouth. She turned to look at him her eyes showing how vunerable she felt and the fear that was present....but yet....there was a small ray of hope praying that what he was saying was right. She reached a shakey hand out and took the phone, "Hello?" She asked her voice wavering slightly.

"Crap. Alexander Chance Browning! You did NOT give the phone to mom!" The voice yelled, it was obviously an older Daisy. Just as dainty, if not a bit more cheerful, than the day she was pushed into that vat of acid. "Ummm.. Hi Mom? This is some random person on the phone and That guy you are talking to is Orlando Brown/Grandhouse.. I'm not Daisy Adair. " She said, though unconvingingly. Daisy was an actress now, sure, but she had never been able to lie properly when it was her mom speaking. Even if Daisy was currently a thousand or more miles away, sipping a Latte' in N.Y.C.

Now, the old Kathleen Marvin normally would have been happy to hear from her daughter and would have welcomed the entire chain of events. But after loosing her husband, going through life as a single mother, loosing her daughter and trying to rebuild her life after that...Kathleen wasn't the same girl she had been in Hogwarts. This was just too much for her to handle...things were supose to be normal now. She was married to a man she loved very much, she had 3 wonderful grandchildren who she loved to spoil....she didn't need her ex comming back from the grave and her daughter not telling her that she was alive....at least in a sense. So she did what would be expected of a person in her situation....she dropped the phone...took 3 steps back shaking her head muttering, "No no no..." before she fell backwards, out ina cold faint.

"Mom? Mom? Oh my god! Alexander, pick up Mom!" The phone yelled, but Alex had already grabbed her. "Kathleen? Kathleen? Please wake up. I only wanted to inform you of the situation. Oh god, Bad choice. Bad choice." He began to mutter things to the people who were crowding around Kat. "Give her some air!" He told them, shooing them away. "Kat, would it help if I didn't say I was Alexander? I mean, I am kinda him in Soul I suppose. But Daisy was only supposted to do the soul switching to where I'm part-time Orlando. Did I meantion Daisy is a Grim Reaper?"

Unforchunetly....Alex was not that smart. See....you don't go rambling off facts like that to a woman who has just passed out is is trying to comprehend what he's already said. So when Kathleen did start to come around slightly and heard everything he said her brain shut down again and she passed out...though this time it was a lot deeper. Her brain couldn't process all of this. While part of her brain was screaming, "Oh my god ALEX!" another part was saying, "This is impossible." while another part was yelling, "WHAT THE HELL!!!" and with all of these comming at once her brain had just shut down and now her breathing was comming in long but shallow breaths and it had slowed along with her pulse.

"Oh shiz. Oh Shiz.." He began to pat her cheeks. "Kathleen, Kathleen. That was not a good idea. Kathleen.. Umm, what could awaken my sleeping beauty.." He kept thinking and thinking. "Umm.. I'll give you a broom? A Car? A School Scholarship? I could send your grandkids to Harvard?" He didn't meantion that once you died, it wasn't that hard to get money. Once you talked to dead pirates and what-not. You could get rich off of being dead one day.

Unforchunetly for Alex, Kathleen's brain was still trying to process all of the other things that he had said to her and refused to not be shut-down until it did....which would probably take awhile so whatever he was doing wasn't helping and she couldn't hear anything he said. In fact, she was almost in a coma like state.
//Yes....I'm making this difficult...but hey! Drama is always fun!//

He looked at the sky, it was perfectly starry and the full moon radiated over the water.. Which looked black.. He had the most wonderful idea.
"Kathleen, we are going on a flight."
He went to the bathroom and asked Daisy to hurridly drop off the broom. She did and he came zooming out . He grabbed Kat and took her outside. A small concielmean spell and positioning and off they went.

//She's in a freaking coma and he's taking her on a BROOM? This soul switching thing REALLY messed up his common sense...// Though her mind was still trying to process everything her body instinkivly grabbed onto Orlando to keep from falling off....that whole self preservation thing kicked in as her mind slowly began sorting through the mass of information he had told her.

"Ok, Kathleen? Are you awake? I put a small spell on the broom so you couldn't fall off. I can only do menial magic now.. Nothing much. Just broom flying and cell phone usage." He was rambling.. Unfortunitly, Alex had lost a bit of his mind.. And gained a bit of Orlando's. You see, Orlando was amazingly awkward. So, do not blame the magical girl named Tally who controlls him. Blame Orlando. "We're going to Mungo's. I believe your husband.." He said husband like it was a normal word. He still loved Kathleen.. But he knew if she wanted to get together with Alex... He'd say no. Because he wasn't Alexander Browning anymore. He was Orlando Brown/ Grandhouse. He was awkward and he was tall and he was twenty years younger. He couldn't be with her, and he knew this. But it would feel so horrible with her not to know.
But she felt horrible knowing. He, yet again, knew what to do. And this time it wasn't dumb, hopeless Orlando thinking. It was wise fivty (or so) year old Alexander Chance Browning making this choice. Kathleen Marvin wasn't alive anymore. Kathleen Browning was gone, dead a long time ago. Kathleen wasn't even Kathleen. Her name was Kat. She was married to Shawn. And, though he didn't remember her new last name, she wasn't his anymore. And she would love Shawn more now.. Because Shawn wasn't constantly going between himself and some reckless twenty five year old. Shawn was always stable, kind and loving twords his Kitty Kat. (Opps, forgot I'm not supposted to use that..) But anyways.. Alexander Chance Browning wasn't entirly there.. And he shouldn't force Kat to know that he's lied to her for the past three months.. That he didn't visit her when he was dead.. Or that he did anything wrong at all.. Which the past hour or so was basicly about. He could only do menial tasks. Losing his magic for a new body had been difficult, but the fact that he had to do this would be harder.
He was going to do what he should do. He was going to use the one memory spell he knew and could use. It would erase two hours worth of info and anything else that the person knew about the spell caster. Kat wouldn't remember Alex unless some miracle forced her to. She would probably make up some excuse in her mind. Make a new memory for the father of her two kids. Chris would remember, so would Daisy. But, of course, they wouldn't catch on.. Hopefully.
Of course, if the amazing Goddess Kat-La wishes for the past paragraph to be false. I'm O.K. with that. If the mystical creature wishes to just make it so she forgets an hour or two. Fine. She can arrange it how she chooses.

"Alex...." She whispered as her brain sorted through the information. She had come to terms with the fact that this Orlando was also Alex. That her supose to be dead daughter was a grim reaper for death and that Daisy and Alex had kept secrets from her. That she was comming to terms with and slowly comming out of it. "Alex...please..." She whispered. It would probably sound to him as if she was begging him to do what he was thinking of doing....but truthfully it was the opposite. She didn't want to forget this...she wanted to see her daughter....she wanted to see Alex/Orlando and know about him. Unforchunetly that didn't seem in the cards. Her grip around his wait tightened and she burried her face in his back. 'I love you' she thought. She realized they were on a broom but yet she had not yet gotten to the whole opening of the eyes part. "Please..." She was able to whisper again as she slowly came out of it more finally able to crack her eyes open a bit more. Seeing that they were above water her grip tighted a bit again out of insinct. "Alex....i.....lo....you..." She was able to whisper. Her brain was still sorting through slightly so she wasn't completly out of it yet but she never wanted to forget Alex...

He looked back at her. "Kat. I'm sorry." He began to say. She would still remember that Daisy was 'Alive' as an undead grim reaper. She would still remember everything with Alex.. Just it would be as if Someone had taken a pair of sizzors to the memories and cut his face out. "But if you figuring this out knocks you out, then the rest shouldn't be that good of a thing. I know you just got me back, Kat. But I also know that you'll be just as fine forgetting me."

//So what would happen to the pictures she still has of him....or the pictures Chris has of him???//
Had she been fully there she would have smacked him upside the head and called him an idiot for even thinking that. She would have yelled at him for even thinking of preforming a memory charm on her. She also would have asked what type of idiot tells someone this in a public muggle restraunt....but she was not there yet and by the look of things she wouldn't be able to do that before he whiped her memory. All she could do now was hold on and pray they got to where ever they were going soon so she could sit down and process everything.

Alex stopped on the roof of a place near Mungo's. He felt like a creepy weirdo. Keeping a girl on a roof while knocked unconsious. "Kathleen.. Kathleen? I wish you were awake enough to answer this but: Do you really care about me that much? To still want to visit and such while you knw that I was stupid and lazy and idiotic and lame and completly dumb. I feel like an awkward teenager all over again. But, then again, I feel like I was more 'Swave' back then than I am now. Am I even Alex anymore? Sure, I'm him 'In Spirit', but am I honestly the Alex you loved? Or did the mixing of body and soul mess me up? I just feel so stupid right now, and clumsy." He tried casting a cushioning charm, but it wasn't effective.
