“Honey, breathe.” Kat said but nodded in response to her explaination, “Ok, sweetie. Go check on John and your father please while I get him cleaned up. He’ll have to wear a cast, but otherwise he’ll be fine.” She assured her daughter.
Becca looked at him, “She’s with Noah, cause Noah got hurt to…but this time…I didn’t do it!” She said the last part very fast, “Noah ran into a swing…” She added looking over. Kat was working on Noah, cleaning the blood and cuts some more and putting his arm in a sling for the moment. She would make a cast later.

Brent looked up. "Noah did what?" He asked, and finally saw him and Kat. "Oh dear Merlin..." He muttered, putting a hand on his head. "He...ran into a swing...?" He asked Becca. When did swings become so violent? "And that happened?" He added.
Kira ran over to where Brent, John, and Becca were. Brent sighed. Well, at least he had TRIED to get all the girls to go somewhere else.
Jake was still next to Kat and Noah. He squatted down, watching Noah quietly cry at the pain in his arm, legs, hands, elbows, head, back, and pretty much everywhere. Jake was solemnly silent for once.

“Kira! Becca!” Kat called over, “I really need some help over here.” She called again and then she looked to Jake, “Come on, help me. I want to get him off the ground, and a levitation spell it to jumpy. Brent is helping John and Becca and Kira can keep Noah distracted.” She said, not saying what he needed to be distracted from. Kat needed to pop his arm back into the socket and if he was concentrating on it, then it would hurt a lot worse then it would if he was distracted. And she couldn’t cast a spell on it to make the arm numb, because she needed Noah to be able to feel when the arm was back in place.
Becca looked up at her mothers voice and looked at Kira, “Come on.” She said before running over.

Jake nodded to Kat and slowly lifted Noah off the ground, holding him with one arm beneath his knees and the other beneath his back. Noah was surprisingly light, at least to Jake. That was pretty scary in itself... "What's wrong with him?" He whispered to Kat.
Kira ran over to her mother with Becca.

“I’ll fix it.” Was all she said. She did not want Noah to know exactly what was wrong with him. It was a psychology thing. If he did not know how much he was hurt, it would not hurt as bad. If he believed he was seriously injured, then the pain would be worse because he would believe it would be worse. “Girls, I want you to just talk with your brother, and distract him really.” Kat explained and Becca nodded. “Put him on the bench please.” She said to Jake.

Jake gently sat Noah on the bench. Noah was blinking repeatedly, shaking a little. "What's wrong with me?" He asked Jake, small tears visible in his eyes. "Nothing, you just have a little bruise. Like remember that time when we were playing Quidditch and the Bludger just barely brushed your arm? Like that," Jake lied, avoiding Noah's eyes. Noah nodded slowly, not really believing Jake, but wanting to.
"What? You got to play Quidditch with real Bludgers? Lucky!" Kira said to Noah. It was difficult to tell if she was serious, or just trying to distract him. Noah simply nodded.

Kat didn’t say anything about the quidditch comment, but she would bring it back up later. “Ok Jake…thanks and just back up. Girls, stand on the other side and talk to him. Noah, just talk to your sisters. You’ll feel a slight pop but it won’t hurt that much.” She told him with a smile.
“So not fair!” Becca added onto Kira’s comment about the quidditch, “Why did you get to play and not us? What else have you gotten to do?” she asked looking at him, “Mom won’t even let Kira and I TALK about playing quidditch yet…”

"Because I'm the awesomest," Noah said without smiling. He looked at Kat. "What do you mean I'll feel a pop, I thought it was a bruise! Bruises don't pop!...right?" He asked. The couldn't see his arm well enough to know for sure himself, but he wasn't so sure it was a bruise.
"You are not, we all know I am!" Kira said quickly.
Brent looked back to John. ((Brain dead...))

“Are not! Everyone knows the awesomest can play piano and dance! And that’s ME!” Becca said with a smile.
“Bruises normally don’t…but when the bruise in between your shoulder and your arm they do.” Kat said, “Just talk with your siblings, the pop won’t be for a little while.” She said taking out her wand and cleaning the cuts on his arms, and getting rid of the dry blood.
“Daddy…” John managed to say, though the sound of pain was still evident, “Becca sure can kick like a donkey…” He muttered with a small smile, though he was pretty sure he wouldn’t be able to have children now.

"Oh." Noah said to Kat. He shook his head. "Sorry, Becca, but the drums beat out piano by far..." He said. Jake shrugged. "I think I got you all beat. I play pro Quidditch." Noah rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but I can catch a Snitch twenty times faster than you," he said to Jake. "...not that I know for sure..." he added with a glance at his mother.
Kira stuck her tongue out at them. "Lucky..." she muttered.
Brent couldn't help but laugh. "Yes, it seems all girls have that talent, no matter what..." He chuckled. "What was it you called her? A constipated donkey?"

“You play for Aunt Lily who’s a better seeker then you!” Becca said sticking her tongue out to defend her Aunt, “And she’s a better player to!” She added. “And you are so wrong! Piano can be pretty and harecore in a matter of seconds…drums just make gross noise.” She added scrunching up her nose.
Kat hid a chuckle and gave a small sigh. Quickly she wordlessly popped Noah’s shoulder back into it’s socket and moved onto the next thing. She knew he probably felt it but hoped that he was distracted enough it wouldn’t hurt that much. She moved onto getting the wood chips out of his legs.
John nodded, “The face she was giving looked like that!” He defended himself, “And she has a right nasty temper!” He added.

"Drums do not make gro-OOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!" Noah jumped suddenly as Kat popped his shoulder back into place. He clamped his other hand over his mouth, sending Jake a death glare for lying to him. Jake gave him an apologetic shrug/smile which Noah ignored, looking back at his sisters and fighting off tears.
Kira was silent for once, and looked at Becca. After a second, she broke the ice. "Singing is better," she said simply.
"Well, you get to learn one thing about females as you grow up. Honesty only works if it's what they want to hear," Brent laughed.

“I’m sorry sweetie, but that needed to be done.” Kat said as she silently took wood chips out of his skin. While those might prick a tiny bit, they wouldn’t hurt that much…and besides…he could only concentrate on one place of hurt at a time, it was a proven fact.
“Nuh-uh! Piano and dancing are!” Becca argued, “Anyone can learn to sing, dancing and piano take talent!” She added with a smirk crossing her arms.
“But I thought mommy told us never to lie….do you lie daddy?” John asked looking at his father with big, round, innocent eyes.

Noah didn't acknowledge Kat's comment, and continued to stare at his sister's with teary eyes.
"Piano's easy to learn! You taught me a song and I had it perfect within half an hour! You don't even need to know the notes, you just have to memorize where your fingers go, and it's pretty much the same with dancing!" Kira said, now really getting into the argument. "With singing, it takes practice. Of course, everyone can do it...but only a few people do it WELL..."
Brent sighed. ((Time to start quoting Liar, Liar.)) "Well, there's white lies, and those are just nice things to say that don't hurt people's feelings...everyone tells those...they're why people survive." Brent forced a smile. "As long as they don't hurt anyone if you tell them, and it's just a little thing, sometimes lies are OK. Like when your mother was pregnant, and if she asked me if she looked like she was a fat cow, I would say, 'No, you look fine!'..." He continued. "By the way, Kat doesn't need to here about this conversation...ever."

“I taught you Mary Had A Little Lamb! The fact that it took you half an hour is PATHETIC! I can play Beethoven’s 5th symphony and that only took me a week to learn!” Becca argued. “Singing is easy and you just have to stay in tune which is easy enough if you use your ears.” Becca said, “As for dancing, it takes time and effort and not everyone can do it.” She huffed.
“I said distract your brother…not argue.” Kat said looking at both of them.
Becca sighed, “So…..how ‘bout them power-rangers?” She asked.
“But Daddy…do you lie to mommy? Cause…Mommy said it’s bad to lie and Santa will give me coal if I lie.” John said very scared now. He didn’t want his father to get coal from Santa.

Kira stuck her tongue out at Becca.
Noah rolled his eyes. "Are you kidding, Becky?" He asked, not at all happy that she thought he was a complete child. "Did you read the DaVinci Code?" He asked after a second. "I just finished it a few days ago..."
Kira started coughing, sounding suspiciously like, 'Nerdy'.
Brent sighed. "Well, sometimes you have to. Like if I'm working and I have to lie to HELP someone..." Brent tried to explain.

“HEY! I was trying to change the subject and that’s the first thing that popped into my head! I heard this chick on the street say it one day to change the subject…her friends called her Tally just like you called me Becky…which if you ever do again…I’ll hurt you worse then you are now.” She said glaring at him. Becca was an ok nickname…Becky….just no….no….she would kick some ass for that nickname. “And yes, I’ve read that and Angels and Demons.” Becca said crossing her arms. “Have you read Wicked?” She asked.
“But mommy said ALL lying is bad!” John insisted, “And I don’t want you to get coal for Christmas daddy!” He added, “Cause mommy says liars get coal…and you aren’t bad!”

"Yes, Becky-er...Becca." Noah said. "And no, but I did see the play. Uncle Emma took me to see it one day..." he added.
Brent sighed. "OK, John, I'll try to stop lying. And Santa understands my job, so don't worry, I won't get too much coal," he added with a small smile. Before John could say anything else, he added, "And if you have any other questions, feel free to ask your mother...but don't mention what I said before..." He added seriously.

“The play is CRAP! You get this cheery little BIMBO playing Galinda and Glinda when in actuality Glinda is a VERY round character. And Fiero does NOT become the scarecrow and don’t even get me started on that brat Dorthy!” Becca said crossing her arms. (Not even a joke…this was my response to someone when they said they had only seen the play.) “NOW! A good play is the Lion King on Broadway!” Becca said.
John nodded and then looked at Brent, “But what if mommy asks me to tell her? I can’t lie to her!” John insisted, “It would be bad and I don’t want to get in trouble.”

"Well, I wasn't really loving the storyline at all, so I don't think reading the book should be on my to-do list," Noah rolled his eyes. "Have you read Heir Apparent?" He asked. "It's not as long or advanced as the Dan Brown stuff, but it's actually pretty good."
"Just don't mention it and hope she doesn't ask," Brent said simply.

“Well of course not, as the storyline for the play is a billion times worse then the book. The book is amazing and gives you an in depth look into the Wizard of Oz which after reading this book you will never look at the same way again.” Becca said, “And no I haven’t but I have read My Brother Michel, now that was a good piece of literature.” She said nodding.
“But if she does I can’t lie to her daddy.” John said with a sigh, “But you told me not to tell her, so some way I’d be doing something bad!”

Kira rolled her eyes. "Can we get off the subject of books? I've read a fair amount myself, but I'm not a total geek!" she said suddenly. "Let's talk about...Quiddi-er, Squidward! From Spongebob!" Kira suggested, quickly recovering from her almost-speaking-of-Quidditch-in-front-of-Kat mistake.
"John, if she asks you, I give you permission to tell her. Just try not to bring it up, and if she asks anyway, you can tell her..." Brent sighed.

“That show isn’t even worth the mind of a 3 year old…I mean…Barney the dinosaur is more entertaining then Spongebob is.” Becca said giving a small shiver at the name. “There are sooo many better muggle cartoons…like Disney is soooo much better then Nick.” She added.
John nodded, “Ok…I won’t bring it up but if she asks I can tell her…ok…now daddy I have another question.”

"OK, let's move on then..." Kira said, sending a nervous look in her mother's direction. "And I agree, Disney is much better than Nick. What's your favorite show?" she asked Becca. Noah thought for a second. He agreed that Disney was better...but he couldn't decide on a favorite show, so he waited for their answers.
"Yes, John?" Brent asked, sitting back down after having been about to get up.

“Favorite Disney show…I like Suite Life, That’s So Raven and Hannah Montana. That new show…the Wizards at Waverly Place….is sooo stupid. And I also like some of the original stuff like House of Mouse and stuff like that…” Becca said with a shrug. “What about you guys?”
“Is it really bad if I still can’t feel my balls?” He asked seriously looking at Brent.
