*Sighs* Simply put? I deleted it. For what reason you are now wondering. While I know it affects the entire site I deleted it because of Miss Tally, and no it is not because I have a bad temper and I am mad at her, though the mad at her part is not entirely false. For the past couple days I have been going around and advertising my butt off to try and get new members for this site so that we can become more active and have larger plots and all expand our RPing ability as we fall into a rut after RPing with the same 10-12 people for a long time. Now, I was ignoring Tally because she did something that she knew I did not like and while I would have forgiven her quickly, like I already have to Danny she started her Bouncy party thing simply BECAUSE she was being ignored. And while this normally would not bother me, I have been working very hard and if anyone has noticed, all day we have had a constant stream of guests checking out the site. Conversation in the c-box is fine a normal, but acting like and idiotic fool is going to turn potential members away. Personally if I came on, looked all around...liked the feel but then found BOUNCY!!! Repeated almost a thousand times with nothing else in the c-box, I would be turned off. I thought that MAYBE after someone else said something in the c-box Tally would stop and MAYBE think...but she did not...so not only was it driving me insane but I did get a few PMs on the proboards main site saying that they liked the site but the imiturity of some members turned them off of the site...so I deleted the c-box for that reason. It is not hard to get a new one and if people promise not to SPAM it, then I'll add a new one...

Kat, I'm sorry to say this, but if the members like us while we are advertising, and we go back to the way we were, they'll leave again. I say, Let them. And if you are so desperate to get new members that you don't care that the new may not necessarily like the old, fine. If you really want new members, try to get some that aren't so damned snooty.

Well, me being the supernerd and control freak that I kinda am at school...I have to agree with Kat. If I looked at this site for the first time and saw BOUNCY! a bajillion times in the c box, and probably a bunch of swears (not to mention Daniel Radcliffe and a cage...*shudder*), I would probably hit the back button and never come back...
It's convenient to have he c box and it can be fun and everything, but there's still OOC in boards and PMs. It's not the end of the world...plus, some people have IMing and Facebook and such...I don't really see what the big deal is if Kat deleted it.

No, I'm willing to put it back, that's not the problem. And it's not the old memebers...it's the old memebers acting like TWO year olds that I don't want. I don't care if you guys have fun....but doing BOUNCY!!! And bagillion times simply because I was ignoring you for a bit, and then your comment of "it's nice to be ignored" is extreamly childish and does turn people away. They aren't SNOOTY they are just over the age of 2 were that kind of stuff is ok and are looking for actual RPs with people who want to actually RP....with BOUNCY!!! a bagillion times it looks like we don't take anything seriously and it would be pointless of them to join.

Well, I agree with Ju-La. I do miss it and all, but Kat-la's right. Well, how about a compromise-ish? [We're all probably thinking it, but I'm just saying it outloud.] We should tone down the hyperness party thing until we get a substantial amount of members. THEN we can slowly morph thme into our hyperness party. =]
If you think about it... Were we all this hyper with each other when we first started to role-play together? The first-first time we met each other. I don't think I was. It wasn't until about a few months after when I first started to feel comfortable with you all.
So put it in perspective.. The new members would probably be all freaked out and feel like they're horning into our little "family" since we're all so close. They'd probably feel left out, y'know?
That's just what I think. I don't know about the rest of you.

Okay, sorry I haven't been on much, but ish agrees with Kat and Ems. We should deffintaly tone down the hyperness, and once we get new memembers, slowly go to our hyper selves again. But not to hyper, because we might scare away the memembers.
After like a month once we get a lot of new people we can bring the c-box in and meet everyone, get to know them, THEN slowly become hyper.
Well that's me opinion

Keyword: SLOWLY. Role playing with someone for a week and then suddenly bringing out the cage is not going to go over well...just because they joined doesn't mean that they have to stay. So maybe a few *appropriate* (another key word) jokes and things like that to have fun OOC, and gradually move into the other stuff.
I, personally, never liked the bounce parties anyway, because no one could see what I was saying in the c box, and it's hard enough to have a conversation in there without BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!! a bunch of bouncies interrupting everyone so that there are big spaces in BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! BOUNCY!!! between their thoughts. See what I mean? Plus...bounce parties give me headaches.

I still hate the idea that we should have to censor ourselves to get these members. We have gotten some good newbies without restraining ourselves. I only did the bouncy because I had enough to be pissed off at than to handle some more crap on here.
And I'M not the one who invented the cage in the first place, so no one can tell ME to lower down on that stuffums. -.-

-mumbles- I would've brought the c-box back by now considering that I can, but ish not going to start anything -mumbles- Also, the whole 'keep the c-box out for a while' idea will never work. PM's take too long and the c-box is the only way that we can all chat about this sort of this at the same time. The c-box will also tell our new members that we encourage member chatting and that it is essencial (Forgot how the spell that damned word).

Tally. >< Ish doesn't want to make you mad. But would it really be that bad if we tone down on some of the hyperness around here?

I feel that our normal conversations are pretty calm. It's only every once in a while that we go crazy or even close to hyper!

Essential, Tally-Wa. With a t.
I agree on one condition. No hyperness, because I really think that Kat is right about that scaring people away. Just chat regularly, or take it to a PM.

Like said before, we hardly ever go far enough to frighten. Except, of course, when I forget that Kat's advertising and freak out because I think it's proboards bots coming to delete the site. That was sort-of weird, I'll admit. BUT I WAS SCARED!

*nods* Ish agrees with Danny on that. Sometimes we do go a little overboard with hyperness and tend to scare lurkers away. And people lurk around the site even if no one ish avertising Tally.

I guess you're right Tally. About the whole once in a while thing. But... Still. It's better if we wait until we get more members. I lvoe role-playing with you guys and all... But don't we all agree that it'd be nice to role-play with some new people?

Of course, but I just don't want snooty literates who will do nothing but criticize us. But I also don't want it to be like on HL, where the 'Vets' ranked much much higher and they kept bringing up that we were just 'Rookies' and that we 'should just shut up'.

Yes, but that's where the whole morphing them into us thing goes along. When we go on our hyper tangents, it'll sort've be like a test to see if they can handle us being ourselves. If they can't. Sucks for them.

The truth? I'm not worried about ya'll. It's not ya'll that keep the peeps away mostly. Nearly everyone on this site is relativily normal and thart helps attracting members. But we have a few (-cough one cough-) members who mostly keep the newbies away. THAT'S who I'm worried about. Hell, I won't be on during the biggest part of the advertising anyways, so I guess we'd be safe for the 'trial' parts. But I trust you guys to do my main job while ish gone. In otherowrds, if there's someone who isn't exactly nice, don't take their crap.

Danny. Hush. You have joined in on bouncy parties before. You have also been hyper enough to scare people away too. Not trying to offend, but its true. It seems like you are saying it is everyone else. But maybe it is just too late and my eyes and brain are taking it and twisting it in some way. You never know....
I think we should still be ourselves. Bounce parties and other things that can make us look more immature than we are should be avoided though. We should still talk to each other normally...Maybe a little less violently. xD. Immature things that we don't normally do should be avoided. So should overly animated welcoming gestures to new people. Our extremes are something they will have to become accustomed to. I did, did I not? I beleive they will be able to handle us once they see how awesome we are. I know I didn't show how hyper I was for a LONG time. They will eventually grow into us. if they don't, I'm not sure we need them. ^.^

OK, so I joined in on a bounce party ONCE when the site was practically deserted because everyone left or just didn't get on that day, and there was no one trying to talk on the c box or look at the site. Ha! See, I have a little bit of reasoning behind my actions! Mostly...
