“Gweneth Daisy Browning! What have I told you about dancing down the stairs? I can not afford to explain to your teacher AGAIN that you broke your leg and you have to take a week of off acting and dancing…last time I almost lost my arm because she blamed me.” Chris said as he looked down at his daughter. Gwen was hanging her head, trying to show her father that she was sorry…though she was smiling because she remembered the fit her teacher had thrown. Luckily, he main of auburn hair hid the smile so she could act remorseful. “Sorry daddy…I promise I won’t do it again…besides…tap and jazz practice are over. It’s time to practice for the city play.” Gwen said looking up at Chris who held back a groan. This year they were doing “The Frog Prince” and Gwen had gotten to be the princess…well for her practice she made Chris be the frog…and did actually criticize his frog voice if it was not perfect. While he wouldn’t trade Gwen for anything, she was very competitive when it came to acting and dancing and acted well beyond her years in seriousness when it came to them. “How about after I finish working on this stuff for work?” He asked and Gwen sighed but nodded, “Ok…but we’ll have to do a costume rehearsal then.” She said nodding and then left to go change. Chris shook his head and went to the kitchen table. He was wearing a pair of sweat pants, no shoes or socks and a sweatshirt. He was at home and wasn’t going out today most likely, so he did not care what he looked like.

"Always look on the bright side of Life." Alexander sang, and then whistled. It was a tune from 'Monty Python's Life of Brian' and he had reseen it earlier this week. Before he went anywhere alive, he had watched about eight hours of movies to update him on history. Unfortunately, he had checked out Monty Python flicks and movies from at least three years ago. He had watched every Hannibal movie there was and enjoied all the 'Scary Movies' from the Scary Movie franchise. He had listened to a great deal of music, most of it was chick stuff. It had helped with the new lingo. Only problem was the fact that he said 'That's far out' and 'How fly!'. Basically, he would be very embarressing if taken to preform in a rap battle. He kept humming the 'Bright side of Life' song that they had sung while being on a crucifix, and he checked the house address. Sure enough, it was Christopher Browning as said in the phone book. He rang the doorbell and waited.

Chris heard the doorbell ring and went to answer it when Gwen ran in front of him. She was already in her costume and she had THE LOOK on her face. Her dress was dark forest green, almost black, with white lace down the center of the skirt, and intrictet gold thread making floral and other georgus patterns. “Daddy…we have to practice! I can’t go to the stage and not know my lines!” She said looking at him, “And you said no one was coming over today! Becca and Kira, and John and Noah can’t see me in my costume yet! It has to be a surprise!” She said looking at him and he sighed. “I don’t think it’s the Potter’s sweetie and I wasn’t expecting company. Let me answer the door and then see who it is and then we’ll rehearse.” Chris said and Gwen huffed and crossed her arms. It was obvious she felt that this would cut into her two hour rehearsal time to much. Chris shook his head, looking down at Gwen still as he opened the door, “Yes?” He asked and then looked up… “Dad?”

"Chris!" Alex scratched his slightly greying, but otherwise wonderfully blond hair and was glad that the dirt wasn't still there. He stopped whistled and looked twords Chris. "Hi." He said, awkwardly. He pushed a strand of hair from inside is mouth. Yes, his hair, or parts of it, were that long. It's amazing how fast your hair grows when it's been regenerated. "So, "He sighed and whistled a bit. "How are you doing today, Christopher?" He considered how he would feel in this position and the answer was: Scared Shitless.

“I think if mom hadn’t told me you were alive I’d be on the ground in a cold faint right now.” He admitted seriously nodding his head. “But the fact that I had a 3 hour lecture on the phone and then in person yesterday about not telling her about Daisy…you sort of came up and then the thing that happened in the shop.” He said and looked down the Gwen tugged on his pants leg. “Daddy…I need two hours of acting rehearsal a day and today is COSTUME day…” She said crossing her arms, “You promised!” She added giving THE FACE. It was the cute and innocent nine-year-old look, added to the you-promised-and-you-can’t-break-it-or-I’ll-hate-you-forever-face. Chris laughed and bent down to pick her up, which wasn’t hard as she was light as a feather. “DADDY!” She screeched, “MY DRESS!” She added, meaning that he was wrinkling it and she didn’t want to have to wait 5 seconds while he used a spell to smooth is out again. “I’ll fix it…but I wanted you to meet someone. Gwen, this is my father, your grandfather Alex. The one that grandma was talking about yesterday.” Chris explained and Gwen looked at Alex and then back at Chris, and then back at Alex and then back at Chris. “So…he’s the one Grandma called a orgasmic piece of meat that she wished she could beat into the fu….” Gwen would have continued reciting what her grandmother said but Chris covered her mouth silently cursing the fact that he could not blame her corrupted and dirty mouth simply on Kat and Lily because he had accidentally taught her some also…along with his mother…Gwen had a very colorful vocabulary.

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Very much like Daisy, isnt she?" He said, remembering that Daisy had the exact same mouth at that age. "And how very interesting." He looked up at Chris. "Christopher, now what exactly did 'Grandmother' say about me?" He flicked his fingers against each other with pride. Every little thing he did now was new, in a way. So he did all sorts of weird things now and then.

“Yes…so much like Daisy it scares me.” He said with a laugh and Gwen looked up, “Who’s Daisy?” She asked with big round innocent eyes and Chris smiled, “She’s your Aunt. Now, anyways…why don’t you go get your script and set up the stage? That way we can have a full practice. And if you finish with that early, why not do your ballet for a little bit so you can get out of that early also.” Chris said and Gwen considered before nodding, “Ok daddy….you have to put me down so I can do that.” She said and Chris just laughed, kissed her head and put her down and she was off. “And I really don’t have three hours and then another two to do the entire discussion. She’s pretty much just angry about the entire thing. She’s pissed off at that Clear chick and then she’s disgusted with herself and the way she acted. I mean…mom has a hell of a temper but I’ve never heard of her exploding like that…at least not for the past 9 years…and the last time it was at me cause of what Ashley and I had done becoming parents at such a young age.” Chris explained. “She’s probably calm now…I mean today she was going out with her friend Shawn, who’s a pretty cool bloke. I’ve met him on a few occasions and you can just tell that he’s very protective of her. Not in a romantic sense of course, more brotherly. I mean, they can walk down the street together, holding hands if they wanted and no one would think that they were dating, simply a brother and sister out for a stroll…they just have that vibe together.” Chris said with a shrug, as he realized he was rambling. “She’s probably calmed down…though she’s probably a bit mad at herself still for the blow up.” He added. “But she’s not mad at you…no…when it comes to you…she’s just confused about the entire ordeal.”

Alex raised his hand up in confusion "Why doesn't your daughter know who Daisy is? Is a Grim Reaper too inappropriate for Family Reunions?" He joked. He then sighed and checked his new, italian leather wallet. There was a strange, stalker-ish picture that Daisy had taken for him while Kat was at the supermarket. Daisy had been watching her mom since three years back. But she never followed her home. Just to find her in her usual haunts and to snap a phot or two. Talking was strictly forbidden. "Or do we even have family reunions anymore? I remember my mother and father would set up one every three years. But Barbara's been gone now and I don't know how Dad's doing. But last time I saw him, he was heartbroken." He said. "But I never saw him on the other side, strangly enough."

“No, we don’t have family reunions anymore…I believe mom has stopped talking to Grandpa and I haven’t seen him in awhile as I’ve been busy with Gwen and work. Ever since Ashley died I haven’t been able to talk to him and other wise it’s just mom. As for Daisy, I don’t really know how to explain it to her, that her aunt is alive but takes peoples soul to the other side and everything else. Aside from that Daisy hasn’t come around since Gwen has been old enough to remember her so I never really saw any reason to bring it up.” Chris said with a shrug. “Why don’t you come in?” He asked as Gwen came over, “You’re inviting him in!!! DADDY! I’m the LEAD! I NEED TO KNOW MY PART!” She said crossing her arms and glaring at him…the evil glare her grandmother had taught her. Chris repressed a shudder and thought for a second. “Honey…why don’t we switch your ballet and piano practice with your play practice and we’ll extend play practice by an hour today?” He suggested. Gwen considered and then nodded and went off to practice.

"Doesn't she have the most innocent of personalities?" Alex commented, sniffling. He thought that a cold might be on it way and also thought that it was stupid for a dead person to have a cold. He pushed the last part of the thought back before he could voice it. He looked at a nearby side table and picked up a yo-yo, making it go up and down. "What else happened in the last ten years, eh? Did the next door neighbour sprout wings while gardening?" He liked the whimsy of that comment, so he said it even though it could be interpreted as abnormal.

“Dad…you really have no idea.” Chris said with a chuckle at his comment about Gwen’s personality. Growing up with only a father and the Potters as adoptive Aunts and Uncles tended to give Gwen quite a bit of colorful language. Though she was not spoiled, she was very strict with herself, never relenting when it came time to practice. That, added to the fact she was a bit miffed with the girl who had flirted with Chris in the pet store earlier that day added to her not so welcome attitude of her grandfather. “Ten years? Well, as you realize you missed seeing her born…and Ashley’s death. Kat Potter and Brent Tripp tied the knot and are parents of quads, who are 6 years old now…the most smart-mouthed little six-year-olds I have ever met. Mom is mom, she keeps to herself and her work most of the time. She is head of the healers in her department now, but that is pretty much it. As for the past 10 days? The Minister has been killed by James’s girl friend and James is going insane. I was convinced by a very adorable ten-year-old to buy her a kitten,” Chris said looking down as the calico tiger mix rubbed up against his leg. He bent down to pick her up, stood up, and looked back up at his father, “Oh, and I have a game in two days that I’m commenting and I’m getting constant floo updates from Lily for the line-up of her team. So dad…what’s new with you?” He asked with a chuckle.

Alexander Chance Browning smiled wide since he already knew most of that stuff anyways. But this was the perfect opportunity for him to explain every single little thing that has happened since the resurrection. "First of all, I died. You should know this perfectly well. It's not exactly as good as it's meant to be. Your sister died, as you know." He had to think some more before continuing. This was more boring than he thought his life was. "I came back because your sister finally got a favor in to bring folks back to life. She brought a couple of other guys back to life. I saw the Death of the minister, thank you very much. I almost got mugged on the way here. The subway is not a good way to travel. I met a manatee on the way here. . . I'm getting a job. I am sending your mother more than ten years worth of child support. My granddaughter scares the shit out of me. I haven't been able to get the darned dirt out of my hair and my breath will most probably smell like that mint I ate the day I died for the rest of my new life."

Chris chuckled, "Are you serious? Gwen scares you now? Really dad...you haven't even seen her worked up or angry. She's a right force to be reconded with...but then again...Mum was the one who taught her to stand up for herself so it shouldn't suprise you how much alike they are." Chris said as he took a glance into the living room where Gwen was practicing her piano. Gwen felt eyes on her and looked at her father and smiled before going back to her lessons. "And she'll calm down a bit once she gets to know you. She's just a bit miffed about what happened at the pet store today...but with promises to see Mum over Christmas she'll be about as bubbly as Daisy." Chris said, "As for the other things...I can't really help you there...and just a note...you do realize that mum will not except the money...and that if you don't take it back she'll just give it to St. Mungo's and a few other cheritys...we really weren't that bad off dad." Chris said seriously.
