‘One, two, three, one, two, three, step, turn, step-out, leap. The CD in Gwen’s alarm clock began to play before she turned it off and sat up. She was sore, almost like she had slept in a ball all night. She stretched a bit, stood up, and looked down. Ok….so now her nightdress was more of a long tee….so she had grown during the night. She did not freak though and instead went to her bathroom and looked in the mirror. She saw her blue eyes and knew that the girl in the reflection was herself and her smile grew. Her part as Cinderella in the children’s play the next day was in the BAG! She looked JUST like Cinderella….and she had not even needed to dye her hair a brighter blonde-haired person…it already was! Of course, her dress would be excessively small now…but she could find a way around this. Her acting career could take off! In addition, her dancing career! Oh yeah, she looked ok…but that did not matter…she could pass now for someone serious! Her careers could SKY ROCKET! “DADDY! DADDY! SOMETHING AMAZING HAPPENED!” Gwen said standing up. Her voice was a bit higher and before she left, she grabbed a blanket and tied it around her waist so it was like a skirt…no need to show her father her under garments. She ran out and crashed into a small boy who had come running from her father’s room.
Chris had heard Gwen’s screams and quickly leapt out of bed, not noticing how much smaller he was, only that he crashed into something tall...When he landed on his backside though and glanced up at the woman in front of him. “GWEN! STAY IN YOUR ROOM!” He yelled standing up reaching for his wand and then noticing things. He was shorter then he was yesterday…his voice was also a bit higher…and his clothes were a lot larger.
“Dad?” Gwen asked looking down at the boy. He looked about nine…ish. But he did have her father’s blue eyes and dark brown hair, even if it was a bit longer…and while he was smaller, it seemed that this boy was her father…younger and smaller of course. “Daddy! Look! My careers can take off now!” Gwen said happily spinning.
Chris was freaking out inside though and was trying to figure out what was going on. He would have to call his mother. “Gwen…go get some of your mother’s clothes that I was saving for you anyways because you said you wanted them and get dressed please. I need to find out what’s going on.” Chris said. Gwen left and he grabbed his cell phone and called him mother.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT? I do not care WHO this is! RIGHT now I’m FREAKING out and trying to figure out why the BLOODY HELL I look like BLOODY TEN-YEAR-OLD!” Kathleen Marvin screamed into the phone. A book was in her lap and about fifty were spread out around her, all tossed as if they had been rejected.
“Ok…so it’s not just me and Gwen.” Chris said, “And mom…calm down…we’ll figure this out…somehow.” He said.
“Oh…it’s you Chris…I don’t know what’s going on but I’m glad it’s not just me. I have had enough stress lately and I do not know what is going on…but I am trying to figure it out. You and Gwen just keep calm…and lock her up if she’s matured the way I’m sure she has…lock her up and throw away the key and every other adult probably would agree with me and throw their daughters in there too.” Kathleen said.
