Jared walked out onto the feild, not dressed in proper robes for practice, but he had just joined, and was hoping to meet the team, and captain here. They supposedly practiced everyday....so they were most likely to be here. He saw really no one flying though. He went and grabbed his broom, and flew around, just for the heck of it.

Lily Potter was in her office. Practice had begun at 4 am that morning and had ended already…at least for a little while…they were on food break for 2 hours. At the moment she was going over plays for the next game and no one was suppose to be on the field. When she looked up at the monitor though she saw someone flying around. She froze frame and realized he must be the new guy and sighed. She stood up and grabbed her robe putting it over her pants, shirt, gloves and her goggles rested on her head. She walked out to the pitch, magnified her voice and whistled, “You…come down.” She said simply.

Jake walked onto the Pitch in his practice robes. He didn't notice the new guy flying, but headed for Lily as she walked out. "Hey, Li-" he started, but was interrupted as she called out. For the first time he saw someone flying, who he didn't know. "Uh, who dat?" he murmured to Lily.

"Hey Jake, new keeper." She responded with a smile. If the guy who was flying looked down, it would probably be the only smile HE would see on her face in awhile. It took a long time for Lily Potter to smile at you as you were a member of her team, and smiles were reserved for those who had proven themselves....Jake had proven himself...that and the fact that he was her brother-in-law and dating her cousin helped his case a bit.

"Let's hope he's better than the last," Jake rolled his eyes. "I could score on him with both hands tied behind my back, and on the ground," he added, and this was barely an exaggeration. "Without elemental uses, either," he added, knowing she was bound to ask that. If he had used the wind, he could score on most Keepers from the ground...but that was pretty easy.

Jared looked down, and saw what must be the captain telling him to get down. He was of course on the opposite side of the field. After what seemed like an hour, but was probably about 20 seconds, he made it down to in front of her. "Hi, I'm Jared Padalecki" He put out his hand, and looked her staight in the eye.

Lily looked at him and gave his hand a quick shake and then dropped it. “If you’re here for practice, you missed the first six hours.” She said coolly, “And if your not, I want to know why. You were excepted onto the team and practice is everyday with our game being this weekend.” She added looking at him. “This is one of our chasers…Jake…” She added nodding her head to Jake slightly.

Jake gave Jared a little nod. He didn't speak. Apparently, he was on Lily's good side for the time-being, and he didn't feel the need to ruin that. But he planned on working until he was sweating blood until he moved significantly higher in rank for best international Quidditch players. He looked at Lily.

"Hey to you too." He said, nodding at Jake. "Well, I'm sorry I missed the first of practice. I don't have a plausable excuse, except I didn't really know when it was today." He said, knowing this was not someone to be a smartass to, and was trying to pick his words carefully. He looked around the Pitch, and decided it was huge. "Who else is on the team?"

Jake resisted the urge to laugh/cover his eyes/shake his head disapprovingly. He couldn't remember Lily ever being all that lenient because of that excuse, as it had happened to him a few times. Maybe she would be nice to the new guy...or not...He watched Lily's reaction, trying not to show what he was thinking about.

Lily blinked once….then twice…and then three times without saying anything and then “That is the lamest excuse in the book and I won’t even let my brother-in-law get away with it. If you did not know when practice began…then you should have been here midnight the night before. You will do 300 laps around this stadium and then you will go into the goals and Jake will score against you. Not try, he will, because he is that good. However, if you prove yourself you will stay on this team. I did not become part of the 10% of quidditch players in the world by not working my team to the bone. You will be sweating blood by the end of this run and then you will have the last 5 hours of practice to deal with. If you make it through today you MIGHT be considered ALMOST part of the team. This is not school or family games any more. This is the International Quidditch League and I take my job very seriously. I have lost two games in my entire career and never but once have I failed to catch the snitch. My chasers and beaters are some of the best in the league if not the best and I expect my keeper to be the same. This will be hard, and you will be sore. Practices begin at 4 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and games are Saturday. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday practice goes till 6 p.m. with 2 hours for lunch. Tuesday it goes till 9 with 2 hours for lunch and an hour for diner and Friday practice ends at 4 so you are ready to show up for the game at 7 a.m. If you have a problem with any of this, leave this pitch now without another word.” She said calmly and coolly.

Jake winced as Lily started and mumbled something about having forgotten his sunglasses in the changing room. He walked off, feeling sorry for the new player. Just for the sake of backing up his lie, Jake walked into the changing room and pretended to look for something. After a second, he pulled his sunglasses out of his pocket, put them on above his forehead, and walked back out. Apparently, he had guessed incorrectly that Lily would make a quick speech. He was back next to them right as she was finishing. I really need to work on my timing...

Jared blinked a couple of times. He knew this was not the time for some snotty remark, sinse he was aready being chewed out pretty much. He nodded, got on his broom, and started his laps. Awhile later, he was ready to pretty much die. He was hungry, tired, and he still had about 5 laps left. He felt like an idiot, too. He hoped his counting was correct, or else it was probably more laps. He swallowed hard and finished really fast. After his last laps, he ducked down really fast, grabbed his water bottle, and gulped it down in about 2 seconds. He said a spell to refill it while on his way to the goal posts. He dropped it to the ground. "Ready?" He asked Jake Tripp. He decided that maybe if he gave this his all, wanting to be apart of this team.

"What are you waiting for....GO!" Lily yelled to both of them staring at them. She sighed shook her head. The rest of the team had about 15 minutes left of lunch so they would be showing up soon in small droves of people. She would run her hand through her hair...a nervous habit that most of her famoly had...sadly her hair was up in a bun to keep it out of her face with a few spells to keep it in order.

Jake nodded, half-jumping at Lily's outburst. When it came down to it, he was probably more scared of her than he was of Kat...which was saying a whole lot.
Jake grabbed the Quaffle and mounted his broom. He boredly flipped it behind his back and over his shoulder, catching it easily with his other hand before taking off into the air. Once he got up to 50 feet, hoop level, he stopped at the center and waited for the new Keeper. He had forgotten the name...and didn't plan on learning it until he was sure that it would be worth it. He had seen so many players last just a day, especially at KK, that he now didn't even bother figuring out their names until he was sure they would stay for at least a while.
While he waited, Jake threw the Quaffle into the air and jumped up on the broom so he was standing. Whenever the Quaffle fell back, he put his weight on one end of the broom so the other moved up like a teeter totter and hit the ball back up a good seven feet in the air before it fell back and he did it again.

He watched him juggle the ball, he was going to have to ask him about that. He jumped a little at Lily's outburst, and was now tempted to use 'sir' at the end of everything around her....she was kind of scary...He thought he would be too if he woke up that early everyday for who knows how long. Twisting out of his thoughts, he remembered his gloves in his pocket, and decided that if he looked half ready, maybe it helped.

"WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING ON THE GROUND?" Lily yelled her eyes flashing dangerously. "GET UP THERE AND PRACTICE!" She added with a glare. So far it seemed as if this new player was not up to scruff, but he would be by the end of the day....She hadn't failed in training someone up yet and she didn't plan to start...unless this boy turned out to be un-teachable in which case he'd be sent packing and they'd hold tryouts for the position again.

Jake rolled his eyes. So far the Keeper was not exceeding expectations...or even being acceptable. As of yet, he was at Troll. Looking at the two on the ground, Jake didn't hit the Quaffle back up. It fell past his broom and he did a wide backflip dive to retrieve it, catching it in one hand inches from the ground and swerving around Lily and the Keeper. He hovered a few feet above them.

//Actually, your post was:
This left a lot actually to be assumed, and whether I assumed wrong or not, I was not the only one as Danny did not correct me either. Just a note, make sure your posts are clear, unless you plan on someone saying something criptic. But when explaining what someone is doing, there is never a thing as to much detail. (Please don't take this literally Danny and try and drive me up the wall...) Dropping down made me assume that he landed, and heading to the goal posts was easily traslated into walking, not flying. And while standing I've "dropped my watter bottle to the ground" it's really not that hard. I'm sorry if I sound rude...but I really don't like being yelled at over something that was clearly someone else's fault in their typing and description. If Danny had asked about it or pointed it out, I wouldn't be typing this...but I was not the only one who got that assumption from what you had typed. I do read every post and most of the time I read each post 2-3 times as I type my reply to it.
Thank you.//
